“Illuminarium” by Architects of Air
LUNA Fête X marks the 10th anniversary of this free festival of light, art, and technology, and this year we are excited to shine even brighter with new interactive exhibits and by expanding to new locations.
Created as a free community event, LUNA Fête combines light, art, and technology into a multi-day festival that has grown to include 7.5 acres of Light-based artworks spread across the Convention Center Pedestrian Park and Mississippi River Heritage Park. The event also includes live music, a nightly arts market, delicious food, drinks, and other glowing features to enjoy each night.
“Widely acclaimed for highlighting cutting-edge artworks, this milestone year represents a departure from tradition as LUNA Fête X extends its influence across both banks of the Mississippi River, ”
“LUNA Fête, New Orleans’ free light-art festival, is set to dazzle downtown with striking light installations”
“Inspired by modern European light festivals, Luna Fête blended art with high technology. The focus of the first fest was a dazzling computer animation, depicting the history of New Orleans, tailor-made to be projected on the façade of stately old Gallier Hall. It was a sensation.”
